Batman & Robin #2 Introduces New Villain Shush!

One of Batman’s most notable iconic villains, Hush, is getting a gender-flipped counterpart, as Shush just debuted in the pages of Batman and Robin #2 from DC Comics.
The series, by Joshua Williamson, Simone Di Meo, and Steve Wands, puts a renewed focus on Bruce Wayne and his son, Damian. While Robin is eager to go headfirst into fighting crime in Gotham City, Batman is trying to provide as normal of a childhood as he can to the former League of Assassins trainee. As a result, while Batman and Robin deal with a dangerous new case, Damian will have to trade in his weapons for books as he prepares for his first real day of school.

The issue features a main cover from Di Meo asking, “Who is Shush?” with the villain making her first appearance in the artwork. Francesco Mattina’s variant cover features a cheeky Damian Wayne blowing bubble gum while Killer Croc can be seen behind him, ready to take a bite out of the young hero. Kael Ngu’s variant cover (also available as a 1:100 black and white incentive variant) shows Batman and Robin teaming up to take down Killer Croc, tying the villain in chains. Gabriele Dell’Otto draws a haunting rendition of Batman for his Artist Spotlight variant. Lesley Leirix Li’s 1:25 variant features a spotlight of Shush.
