Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Gets New Facsimile Edition

In 2026, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns #1 Facsimile Edition 2026 will bring the classic DC story back to print, giving readers a chance to read it in its original format.

Originally debuting in 1986, The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller, Klaus Janson, and Lynn Varley is considered one of the greatest Batman stories ever, as its dark tone helped reframe Batman in the general public's mind and remains incredibly influential to this day. The new facsimile edition will feature the original cover with a new foil and blank cover available, as well as a yet-to-be-revealed Jim Lee variant.
