Blade Returns: Marvel's Bloodbath Begins!

Marvel’s most iconic vampire hunter is back in a brand new ongoing series! Blade returns in Blade #1 from Bryan Hill and Elena Casagrande. And for those readers expecting a dark and bloody affair, you are in luck!
Blade is a classic Marvel Comics hero, created by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan and first appearing in The Tomb of Dracula #10. Eric Brooks is a daywalker who devotes his life to killing vampires across the Marvel Universe. Blade often lives up to his namesake with several sharp weapons in his arsenal. Blade’s comics have typically been violent and action-packed, with the character fitting in well on the supernatural side of Marvel. The Blade comics were famously adapted into a live-action trilogy starring Wesley Snipes. Blade will also appear in an upcoming solo film in the MCU!
Hill and Casagrande will tackle a brand-new Blade series that will see Brooks unknowingly unleash an ancient power that will draw the attention of supernatural entities from the underworld:

Casagrande draws the main cover for Blade #1, featuring the titular character’s bloody swords unsheathed as those from the underworld approach. There are several standard variants for the issue, including Frank Miller’s take on the vampire hunter (with a 1:100 virgin variant cover), a bloody cover from David Marquez, John Tyler Christopher doing a Negative Space variant, a Marvel Icon variant from Stefano Caselli, a Peace Momoko headshot cover (also available as a 1:50 incentive virgin variant cover), an all-red blank variant, and a Tom Reilly variant that’s part of his windowshades series. Additionally, Kaare Andrews draws a fiery 1:25 variant for the series.
