Daredevil's Resurrection: From Hero to Priest in New Series!

Daredevil is being reborn in the Marvel Universe as the hero’s dark fate at the end of Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto’s Daredevil run will lead directly into a new story from Saladin Ahmed, Aaron Kuder, and Jesus Aburtov’s new ongoing series starring the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.
In the recently concluded ongoing Daredevil series from Zdarsky and Checchetto, Matt Murdock traveled to Hell to free the souls of his friends trapped by the Hand’s leader, the Beast. In the end, Murdock sacrifices himself to save some of his closest allies, including Foggy Nelson. However, Murdock’s death ended with the hero being somehow resurrected, with the character seemingly having no memories of his past and taking on a new life as a priest. The next chapter of Daredevil is set to explore Matt’s new normal.
Daredevil #1 will see Ahmed (Black Bolt) and Kuder (Death of X) tell a story of Murdock struggling with re-emerging memories of his past as he fights who he once was with who he’s become. Meanwhile, Elektra will continue as her own version of Daredevil while trying to figure out what happened with Matt and whether his changes can be reversed. The main cover from acclaimed Daredevil artist John Romita Jr., Scott Hanna, and Marcio Menyz features the hero perched atop a building with a heavy downfall of rain. Frank Miller returns to the series for a new cover featuring the hero in an action-pose, also available as a 1:100 virgin variant. Ejikure draws a shadowy Daredevil standing above Hell’s Kitchen in a stunning variant cover, which will also have a 1:100 virgin variant. Alexander Lozano draws a foil variant featuring the hero, while Whilce Portacio and Alex Sinclair’s Bullseye variant features a battle between good and evil. The debut issue will also feature a blank variant and a 1:25 variant from Pepe Larraz and Matt Wilson.
