Darth Vader's iconic Rogue One appearance gets new comic

One of Star Wars' most iconic Darth Vader moments — the villain's arrival in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story — is getting a brand-new comic book story.

Marvel and Star Wars are celebrating 10 years of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story with a brand-new comic from Chris Condon (Green Arrow) and longtime Star Wars artist Luke Ross. Star Wars: Rogue One - Vader #1 sees Darth Vader step into negotiations with a planet rich in Kyber crystals after Orson Krennic's attempt to get the resource fails. The comic directly connects with the plot of the Rogue One film.

Star Wars: Rogue One – Darth Vader #1 features main cover art by David Marquez and Laura Martin, with variants coming from Chris Sprouse, Phil Noto (also available as a 1:50 variant), Walt Simonson, and a 1:25 incentive variant from Leinil Francis Yu. Check out the main cover art and text solicit below.

CELEBRATING TEN YEARS OF ROGUE ONE! Its leader, Harqque, refuses to allow the Empire to mine its rare kyber deposits for use in the Death Star’s deadly super laser. But when the Emperor catches wind of Krennic’s failure, he sends his most trusted acolyte — Darth Vader — to ply the kyber from Harqque by any means necessary.

Star Wars: Rogue One – Darth Vader #1 arrives at CaptCan Comics on October 28th, 2026. Pre-order the issue now to ensure you don't miss out.
