Deadpool: Badder Blood Unleashes Fiery Showdown

Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld is back for another round with the Merc with a Mouth with a new limited series, Deadpool: Badder Blood. In the book, with collaborators Chad Bowers, Shelby Robertson, Jay David Ramos, and VC’s Joe Sabino, Deadpool is facing off against a former friend who previously wouldn’t stop until Wade Wilson was taken out for good.
Badder Blood follows the events of Deadpool: Bad Blood, where readers learned of Wilson’s high school best friend, Miles Ellison. It was revealed Ellison’s attempts to locate Deadpool and visit the Weapon Plus program led to his own transformation, being turned into a giant villain named Thumper. Deadpool: Badder Blood picks up after the events of the previous series, with Liefeld including Wolverine and Cable in Deadpool’s mission to track down his out-of-control friend. However, Deadpool finds out Thumper is actually working alongside Tyger Tiger in an effort to control the Underworld. After being asked to join them, Deadpool declines, leading to a fiery shootout which ends with the surprise cameo of a brand new character: Shatterstorm.
Shatterstorm isn’t a gender-bent version of Shatterstar but seemingly a variant of the hero from another world - but her origin hasn’t been explained. However, in the preview for Deadpool: Badder Blood #2, a fight between Shatterstorm and Deadpool is teased, with the new character making a bloody entrance into the Marvel Universe.

Issue three of Deadpool: Badder Blood sees Venompool enter the mix with Wolverine, the sabretooth tiger Zabu, and the Imperial Guard appearing in the festivities. The issue features a GREAT variant from Rod Reis featuring Deadpool trying to fend off both Venompool and Shatterstorm.
