Doctor Doom & Rocket Raccoon Join Forces Is Unlikely New Marvel Team-Up

In 2025, J. Michael Straczynski showcases some of the most unexpected team-ups in the Marvel Universe in a series of one-shots featuring heroes, villains, and everything in between. One of the most exciting crossovers is Doctor Doom & Rocket Raccoon #1.

In the one-shot, Straczynski and artist Will Robson are pairing the Guardians of the Galaxy hero with the ruler of Latveria, as they will go on a journey across space and time and enjoy (and be annoyed) by each other’s company. Considering Doom’s villainous status in the Marvel Universe, there’s a good chance the unexpected duo will not see eye-to-eye even if they have a common goal.

Doctor Doom & Rocket Raccoon #1 features main cover art from Gary Frank and Alex Sinclair featuring the two main characters having a toast. Ario Anindito’s variant shows Doom sick of Rocket Raccoon as he holds him by the tail outside of his castle in Latveria. Leinil Francis Yu’s variant showcases the characters who will be featured in the crossover series. Meanwhile, Robson’s variant sees Doom unleashing his powers to a surprised Rocket. On the incentive variant front, Junggeun Yoon’s 1:25 variant features Doom and Rocket unleashing their collective might. Lastly, Frank and Sinclair’s cover will also be available as a 1:100 incentive variant. Check out the text solicit and the main cover below.
