Donald Duck Becomes Thor in Marvel's Latest Remix One-Shot

Donald Duck is taking on an all-new role that will be very familiar to fans of Marvel.
On the heels of several covers showcasing Disney characters in the place of Marvel heroes and villains, a new What If…? one-shot places Donald Duck in a classic origin story. In Marvel & Disney: What If…? Donald Duck Became Thor #1 by Riccardo Secchi and Lorenzo Pastrovicchio , the classic Disney character is picking up Mjolnir and transforming into a duck-sized version of the God of Thunder. In the issue, Donald will take Huey, Dewey, and Louie on an archaeological dig. However, when he finds an enchanted cain it will turn him into Thor in an alternate telling of the hero’s first adventure — and he will need his new powers to save the town of Duckburg.
Marvel & Disney: What If…? Donald Duck Became Thor #1 features a main cover from Lorenzo Pastrovicchio homaging Jack Kirby’s classic cover art for Journey into Mystery #83 — also available as a black and white 1:100 incentive variant. Superstar artist Peach Momoko’s variant features Donald Duck in his Thor garb summoning lightning among the clouds. Phil Noto’s variant shows Donald getting used to his powers and actually electrocuting himself while summoning his mighty powers — which will also be available as a 1:50 incentive variant.
