G.O.D.S.: A Cosmic Collision of Magic, Science & New Realities

G.O.D.S. is coming to Marvel Comics with the new high-concept series from Jonathan Hickman, Valerio Schiti, Marte Gracia, and Travis Lanham set to shake up what readers know about magic and science and the cosmic side of the universe.
G.O.D.S. will see Hickman and Schiti add new layers to some of Marvel’s most significant cosmic beings and follow a new group of characters who have been working in the shadows for some time. The series's main antagonist is Wyn, a magic user who has stayed hidden for thousands of years and is the Avatar for THE-POWERS-THAT-BE. His life directly conflicts with Aiko Maki, an agent for THE-NATURAL-ORDER-OF-THINGS, who works diligently to keep the building blocks of creation in place. Wyn is joined by Dmitri the Science Boy, who joins him on his escapades across the universe. Meanwhile, in the present day, both THE-POWERS-THAT-BE and THE-NATURAL-ORDER-OF-THINGS will be among those who must put their differences aside to work together to prevent a Babylon Event from destroying everything and everyone.
The details surrounding G.O.D.S. story are still largely unknown as Hickman and Marvel have only offered vague information about the comic. Hickman told Marvel.com that G.O.D.S. was one of two series bibles he made, with the other being House of X, adding, “To say that I’m excited to finally be able to share this story with everyone is a massive understatement. G.O.D.S. takes place in its own special corner of the Marvel Universe -- in the cracks that lie at the intersection of science and magic -- and revisits some characters and concepts that we’ve reimagined for a more modern, continuity-driven audience.”
G.O.D.S. features a main cover from Mateus Manhanini, also available as a 1:100 virgin variant. Skottie Young draws a baby variant with Wyn and Doctor Strange. Peach Momoko and Ejikure have each done stunning variants starring Aiko Maki - with the latter artist’s cover also being a 1:50 incentive variant. Mahmud Asrar’s 1:25 variant features the G.O.D.S. cast assembled amidst chaos and calamity. Lastly, Schiti and Marte Gracia showcase the main players of G.O.D.S. in a second-printing variant cover.
