Iron Man & Emma Frost's Nuptials: A Heroic Ruse?

Iron Man and Emma Frost are getting married in the pages of Marvel Comics. However, the wedding isn’t what they appear, as Tony Stark and the fan-favorite mutant are tying the knot in order to trick a villain who is desperate to destroy the X-Men and the Avenger’s legacy.
In the current Invincible Iron Man series by Gerry Duggan, Juan Frigeri, Bryan Valenza, and VC's Joe Caramagna, Stark has found himself at odds with a new villain named Feilong. Wealthy and armed with an impressive intellect, Feilong took Tony’s business from him when the hero found himself financially vulnerable. However, it’s not just Stark Feilong has his sights set on, as his hatred for mutants has fueled him to create Stark Sentinels and team up with Orchis to destroy Krakoa, leading to the events of Fall of X. With the X-Men being killed and/or forced off Krakoa, Emma Frost is working alongside Iron Man to stop Feilong - and the pair are about the pull of their greatest trick: marriage. Invincible Iron Man #10 sees Emma and Tony get married, but for those hoping it was because of their love for one another or the fact they see a future together, you will probably be disappointed.
Marvel made sure to celebrate Tony and Emma’s wedding in style, with some of the greatest heroes in the universe showing up on the main cover for Invincible Iron Man #10 by Lucas Werneck. The stunning cover will also have a 1:200 virgin variant. The late George Perez draws an Iron Man-starring variant, also available as a 1:100 incentive cover. Nathan Szerdy’s variant features Frost in her gorgeous wedding dress in front of a stained glass window filled with X-Men. Bob Layton draws Iron Man’s suits in his latest connecting cover. Meghan Hetrick shows what Iron Man and Emma’s wedding would have looked like with their closest allies taking part in the affair, with the art being available as the 1:50 variant.
