Marvel returns to the world of Brand New Day in New Spider-Man series

Ahead of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" film releasing this year, Marvel Comics is bringing readers back to the titular comic timeline in the new miniseries, The Spectacular Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Originally, Brand New Day followed One More Day, which erased Peter Parker's marriage with Mary Jane Watson and made the world forget Spider-Man's secret identity. With the MCU following similar plot lines regarding Peter's identity being forgotten, Marvel is bringing Brand New Day back in Spider-Man: Brand New Day by Dan Slott, Marcus To, and Marcos Martin in a story that will feature Mister Negative, Kingpin, Punisher, and more familiar faces.

The Spectacular Spider-Man: Brand New Day #1 features main cover art by Phil Jimenez and Alex Sinclair, with variants coming from Josemaria Casanovas, Mike McKone, Patrick Gleason, and Salvador Larocca. Incentive variants are coming from Marcos Martin (1:25), Jimenez (1:50), and Gleason (1:100). Check out Gleason's cover art below followed by the text solicitation.

BRAND NEW BRAND NEW DAY! Spider-Man discovers one of the most valuable items the Kingpin, A.K.A. Wilson Fisk, possesses — THE LEXICON. This directory of the Kingpin's criminal enterprise could destroy the criminal landscape of New York City and that's Spider-Man's goal when he takes it. But Fisk isn't the only person who wants the Lexicon... Mr. Negative would love his competitor's secret information, but so would Frank Castle himself, the Punisher. Taking the Lexicon sure seemed like a good idea to make the city safer, but it's painted the biggest target ever on Spider-Man’s back!

Spectacular Spider-Man: Brand New Day #1 arrives at CaptCan Comics on May 13th, 2026. Pre-order the issue now to ensure you don't miss out.
