Marvel's haunting new character Hallow's Eve gets her own miniseries this week as Hallow's Eve #1 officially arrives at CaptCan Comics. The series from Erica Schultz, Michael Dowling, and Brian Reber continues the adventures of the titular villain, who is using magical masks she acquired to transform herself into all-different beings with various incredible powers - including transformations and powers derived from a Werewolf, The Human Fly, and Frankenstein's Monster.
Janine Godbe was first introduced in Spider-Man: The Lost Years by J.M. DeMatteis and John Romita Jr., as she changed her identity from her original name, Elizabeth Tyne, after murdering her abusive father. After meeting and falling in love with Ben Reilly, she was eventually imprisoned for killing her dad. However, she was released as part of the Beyond Corporations' agreement with Reilly to become the organization's Spider-Man. After Demons attacked in Limbo and Ben Reilly took on the new identity of Chasm after his memories were stolen from him, Janine acquired several magical masks that granted her powers, transforming her into Hallow's Eve. The character debuted in the Dark Web crossover from Marvel Comics and is now starring in her own spinoff miniseries.
The official text synopsis teases Janine going on the run as she adapts to becoming Hallow's Eve.
