The largest-scale battle in Marvel Comics continues to unfold in Avengers Assemble Omega, as the issue will showcase the greatest heroes in the Multiverse as they try to save every world facing elimination by the mighty, villainous forces at play. However, unlike some of the Avengers’ other battles for the Multiverse, which has featured numerous heroes from different worlds fighting side-by-side, the fight for space and time features characters from practically every reality as the Avengers try to destroy some of their biggest threats ever - and not everyone is going to make it out alive.
In Jason Aaron’s Avengers run, the entire series has been building up to a fight to save Marvel’s Multiverse. With the Multiversal Masters of Evil, Mephisto, and an army of Doctor Doom variants coming to the God Quarry and trying to gain total control while conquering space and time, the Avengers have been busy recruiting new members to the team under the guidance of the Avenger Prime, Loki. The heroes were successful in their recruiting process, as Tony Stark’s Ant-Man brought together the most powerful variants of Captain Marvel, Thor, and Captain America. Meanwhile, the Avengers have also traveled to the Multiverse to recruit heroes, with even Galactus joining the fight. While the Multiversal Masters of Evil have been dismantled, Mephisto and Doom Supreme remain. Check out the text solicit for Avengers Assemble Omega #1 from Marvel Comics below.
AVENGERS ASSEMBLE: THE FINAL CHAPTER! The grand, oversized finale of the most epic battle in the history of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Along with being the final issue of Jason Aaron's five-year AVENGERS run, this features an all-star cavalcade of artists, a veritable smorgasbord of Avengers and a few last emotional gut punches in the Mighty Marvel Manner.
Avengers Assemble Omega features a main cover starring the Multiversal Avengers from artist Aaron Kuder. Steve Skroce drew a variant featuring the main heroes of the superteam, as Captain America, Black Panther, Thor, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel stand in front of the fiery mammoth used by the very first Ghost Rider. Alex Ross’ Timeless variant series continues with Galactus taking center stage in a gorgeously drawn cover, which features an additional 1:100 pencil variant. Lastly, Stefano Caselli draws Shang-Chi as part of the publisher’s Marvel Icon cover series.
Readers won’t want to miss the final chapter of the current Avengers saga, as not only will it be an exciting conclusion to Jason Aaron’s run on the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, but it will set the stage for what’s coming next in Jed MacKay and C.F. Villa’s new arc. Readers can pick up a copy of Avengers Assemble Omega #1 by Aaron, Aaron Kuder, Dexter Vines, Ivan Fiorelli, Javier Garron, Jim Towe, Alex Sinclair, and VC's Cory Petit on CaptCan Comics this week!
