Red Sonja Returns: Savage Adventures Await!

The She-Devil with a Sword is back in a brand-new series in the Savage Red Sonja from Dynamite Comics.
Red Sonja is a classic character who originally debuted in Conan The Barbarian by Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor-Smith from Marvel Comics, based on Robert E. Howard’s groundbreaking work. The blade-wielding heroine is one of the greatest warriors in comics, who has become a fan-favorite character thanks to her killer nature and beauty. In the mid-2000s, Dynamite Comics started publishing Red Sonja stories, reworking her origin and letting her star in several series from creators such as Gail Simone, Mark Russell, and Jimmy Palmiotti. Now, Red Sonja is about to star in a new book by Dan Panosian, Allessio Petillo, and Francesco Segala, charting an exciting and violent new direction for her.
The new Savage Red Sonja series sees Red Sonja on a quest to retrieve a long-lost gem from a destroyed ancient civilization. However, her journeys will feature an encounter with a lost prince and his bride, as well as monstrous beasts lying below the surface. For those expecting an action-packed adventure featuring Red Sonja doing what she does best — kicking ass and taking names — the series appears to be delivering that in spades.
Dynamite Comics is releasing 20+ covers to go with the new Red Sonja title, including a main cover from Dan Panosian. Frank Cho brings his signature sexy style to a new variant, which is available in several other formats, including 1:15 line art variants and a virgin variant. Arthur Adams draws a bloody good cover of Red Sonja in her armor with blood across her face — also available as a 1:10 variant.
