Fan-favorite writer of The Amazing Spider-Man, J. Michael Straczynski, is teaming up with Pere Perez to tell an all-new Spider-Man story taking readers back in time.
The Amazing Spider-Man: Torn #1 will take place during Peter Parker’s college days, with his time at Empire State University featuring some familiar faces including Gwen Stacy, Harry Osborn, Mary Jane Watson, and Flash Thompson. Additionally, a new villain will make their debut alongside some classic Spider-Man foes.
The Amazing Spider-Man: Torn #1 features main cover art by Adam Hughes (also available as a 1:100 incentive variant) with variants coming from Lee Garbett, Javier Garron, Mark Bagley, Pere Perez, Walt Simonson, and Mark Chiarello (1:25). Check out the main cover art and text solicit below.
Straczynski is teaming up with fan-favorite artist Pere Pérez (TVA, Venom War: Carnage) to tell a story that takes readers back to Peter Parker’s college days at Empire State University. Expect appearances from Gwen Stacy, Harry Osborn, MJ, and Flash Thompson — plus classic villains and an all-new threat that could shake the Marvel Universe to its core.
