The Horror of Godzilla Showcases One of the Kaiju's Darkest Attack

The Horror of Godzilla is taking readers back to the horrifying first attack of the titular kaiju in a brand-new four-issue miniseries from IDW Publishing that showcases the monster as deadlier than ever before.

The Horror of Godzilla #1 by Ethan S. Parker, Griffin Sheridan, and Tristan Jones follows Godzilla's first attack in 1954 following a scientific experiment gone wrong. Godzilla's arrival will have serious effects on the people caught in its wake, thanks to the Kaiju's mutative effects. The story serves as a prequel to the shared Kai-Sei Era universe from IDW and shows the true horrors of this version of Godzilla, teasing both "no heroes" and "no survivors," but only Godzilla's wrath.
