The Justice League is one of the most beloved superteams in comic book history, and next year, DC Comics will take readers back to one of their earliest adventures in a new Facsimile Edition of Brave and the Bold #29.
The issue from Gardner Fox and Mike Sekwosky was originally published in April 1960. The story featured the Justice League's second-ever adventure as they faced off against the time-traveling Weapons Master. The Justice League’s roster was at its most iconic, with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and Martian Manhunter fighting together to stop the supervillain.
The new reprinting features the awesome cover art of Mike Sekowsky and Murphy Anderson, showcasing the Justice League taking on the villain and using their combined powers to try to take out his giant-sized robot. The new reprinting will also feature a blank variant as well as a foil variant. Check out the main cover art for The Brave and the Bold #29, followed by the text solicit for the issue.
Having found an ancient book that appears to indicate that he once defeated the JLA, Xotar travels from 11,960 to the present to test four weapons against the Justice League, in order to determine which weapon will help him defeat the Intersolar Police of his own day; But the JLA counters each of Xotar's weapons and returns him to face justice in his own time.
The Brave and the Bold #29's new Facsimile Edition arrives at CaptCan Comics on January 8th, 2025. Pre-order the issue now to ensure you don't miss out!
