Thrawn's Epic Journey: Star Wars Comic Adaptation Unveiled

Grand Admiral Thrawn has become one of the most feared villains and respected tacticians in the Star Wars universe. One of his greatest stories is getting a comic book adaptation showing how the villain partnered himself with Darth Vader, creating one of the most fearsome forces in the entire galaxy.
In 2018, author Timothy Zahn published Star Wars: Thrawn Alliances, the second book in the acclaimed second Thrawn trilogy. Zahn is one of the Star Wars universe’s chief architects, creating Grand Admiral Thrawn back in the Heir to the Empire trilogy — the same series that also saw the creation of Mara Jade, the (currently non-canon) wife of Luke Skywalker. Thrawn’s rising popularity following his appearances in Star Wars Rebels and, most recently, in the Ahsoka live-action series, where Lars Mikkelsen played him, has made him a household name, and now one of his most extraordinary adventures has come to the pages of comics!
Star Wars: Thrawn Alliances #1 by Jody Houser, Timothy Zahn, Adrea Di Vito, Pat Olliffe, and Travis Lanham will visualize Thrawn’s partnership with Darth Vader. The four-issue miniseries will show off the iconic story created by Zahn while adding new insights to the fan-favorite book.

A promo cover featuring Two Dots Thrawn Alliances book cover is also available. Paul Renaud’s 1:25 incentive cover also shows a terrifying split image of Thrawn and Darth Vader.
