X-Men: The Hellfire Murder Spins New Whodunit Mystery

The Hellfire Gala has delivered high fashion to Marvel's mutants over the past few years, and in 2026, a murder mystery whodunit will have the X-Men (and some of their biggest villains) trying to solve a deadly case while in their best garb.

X-Men: The Hellfire Murder #1 by Gail Simone, Jed MacKay, Erica Schultz, Saladin Ahmed, Eve L. Ewing, Tony S. Daniel, Luciano Vecchio, and Federica Mancin sees Wolverine and Jubilee attempt to solve a murder at a Hellfire masquerade hosted by Sebastian Shaw. The murder will have significant consequences on the X-Universe, and everyone in attendance is considered a potential suspect.

The one-shot features cover art by Vecchio with variants coming from Inhyuk Lee, R.B. Silva, Rogê Antônio, and Skottie Young. There will also be yet-to-be-revealed incentive variants. Check out the main cover art and text solicit below.
