Batman Day Sale FAQ

Our Batman Day sale is running now and ends at 11:59 PM Eastern on Saturday, September 19, 2026. It applies across the whole store, not only Batman titles.

Is there a code?

No. The discount is applied automatically in your cart. There is nothing to enter and nothing to ask us for.

It shows up in the cart, not on the product page. The product page keeps showing the regular price, and the saving comes off once the book is in your cart.

How much is off?

  • 20% off in-stock raw back issues priced $250 and under
  • 20% off in-stock trade paperbacks and hardcovers, with no price cap
  • 15% off in-stock raw back issues priced over $250
  • 10% off in-stock CGC, CBCS and PGX graded books priced up to $2,000
  • 5% off in-stock CGC, CBCS and PGX graded books priced over $2,000

Each book gets the one tier that matches it. The tiers do not stack.

What is not included?

  • Our two most recent uploads. Books from the September 11 and September 15, 2026 uploads are not in the sale.
  • Books released in 2026. Anything with (2026) in the title is out of every tier, including this week's new releases.
  • Anything not in stock. Pre-Sales and Special Orders are ordered in for you rather than sitting on our shelf, so they are not part of the sale.
  • Everything that is not a back issue, trade paperback or hardcover. That includes merch and the Cover Series Pre-Order, which stay at their normal price.

What does recent uploads excluded mean?

We add several hundred books to the site a few times a week, and the newest two of those uploads stay at full price during a sale. Right now that means the September 11 and September 15, 2026 uploads.

Anything uploaded before September 11 is in the sale at its normal tier. The two newest uploads join the regular catalogue in due course and are included in sales after that.

My discount is not showing. What is wrong?

It is almost always one of these:

  1. You are looking at the product page. Put the book in your cart and check there.
  2. It came from one of our two most recent uploads. Those are held back from the sale.
  3. It is a 2026 release. Those are excluded.
  4. It is a Pre-Sale or a Special Order. Those are not in stock, so they are not in the sale.
  5. You are expecting the wrong tier. A graded slab is 10% or 5%, not 20%. A raw book over $250 is 15%, not 20%.

If none of those fit, start a chat with us and tell us which book you mean, and we will take a look.

Can I use CaptCan Cash on top of the sale?

CaptCan Cash is redeemed on Pre-Sale items only, and Pre-Sales are not part of this sale, so the two never meet. You still earn 1 point per $1 on a sale order as normal.

Can sale books go in my Hold Box?

Yes. Choose Hold - DO NOT SHIP at checkout as usual. You pay the sale price at checkout, so it is locked in no matter when the books eventually ship.

Pickup and shipping

Pickup is free from the shop at 466 Elgin St, Brantford. Saturday hours are 10 to 2, and orders placed after we close are ready the following week.

Shipping inside Ontario and Quebec is a flat rate based on how many books are in the order, starting at $13. Anywhere else, the rates are on our shipping information page.

Does the sale price still apply after Saturday?

No. The order has to be placed before 11:59 PM Eastern on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
