  Judd is about to let his arrow fly at Chuck, when a shot rings out and the bow in Judd's hands is shattered. Chuck uses the opportunity to jump Judd. The group returns with the police and Judd is taken into custody. B.F. Jones feels partly to blame for Judd having burned down the newspaper offices, so he is going to help rebuild at his own expense. Chuck gets a Special Delivery letter from Alaska, which leads him to his next adventure.

  As the two boys in the rowboat are taken out to sea, they are rescued by Henrietta and group. Mr. Giltrock has a barge with which he plans on capturing the flivver, but at the last minute Henrietta flies over the barge and lands safely back at the airport. Mr. Giltrock is waiting to be rescued by the Coast Guard.

  After WWII, Bishop Walsh has built the Catholic Bureau in China into a highly efficient agency for the Church. In 1949, the Communists have taken over and the purge of religion begins. The Catholic Bureau is closed; food and clothing rationed. In 1958, he was arrested and found guilty in a court where he wasn't even allowed to attend his own trial. In 1964, when this was written, he was still alive and in prison in China.
