  Janet is popular with men while her roommate Laura is unsuccessful. Janet introduces Bill to Laura and they hit it off, but then Janet and Bill fall in love. Laura is upset so Janet moves out. Laura tracks her down and says Bill and Janet are made for each other; however, Laura is now getting dates on her own, so everyone wins.
• 2 A Lesson in Love +
  Abby is the only teacher in her small town, and fears she’s turning into an “old-maid school marm.” Tod is assigned to teach in her school, but Abby continues to be strict and is in danger of being fired. The students and Tod band together to save her job, and Tod proposes marriage as well.
• 3 Betty and Bob +
  Bob gives Betty financial advice prior to their marriage.
• 4 Too Late for Romance +
  Nancy and Kirby are engaged, but her parents are dubious because Kirby lacks ambition. He goes to work for Nancy’s father but can’t handle a real job. Gas station owner Lee then hires Kirby as a favour to Nancy, but Kirby's irresponsible ways result in a fire. Lee rescues Nancy; she’ll marry him instead of Kirby.

  Fran buys a dog in hopes of attracting a man, but fails.
• 6 Haunted Heart +
  Dan and Leslie meet and fall in love, but they argue constantly. They separate but Dan then becomes Leslie’s supervisor at work and they are thrown together again. Eventually, they decide each is entitled to their own opinions, and love conquers all.

  Carol has a television set but never watches it. She does, however, enjoy the TV repairman’s visits.
• 8 You'll Never Be Mine! +
  Ellen and Tommy are in love, but wealthy Greta takes a liking to him: she gets Ellen fired, and hires Tommy to crew her yacht on a cruise around the world. Ellen is hired as Greta’s companion on the cruise. The ship hits an explosive mine and sinks, but Tommy’s quick work saves everyone. He rejects Greta and will marry Ellen as planned.
