  After mustering out of Lt. Col. Fremont's California Volunteer Militia, in late 1848 Casey returned to Boston MA to lead Hans and his adopted daughter Chris to the gold fields of California. This episode took them somewhere between Detroit MI and Chicago IL. Shadowing them were the daughter of Jean Lafitte and her servant Jason.
• 2 Black Barney the Hooded Terror Script: Warren Tufts +
  A masked vigilante, Black Barney, kidnaps the Alcalde of the Pueblo de la Reina de los Ángeles.
• 3 Laredo Crockett with Billy the Kid Script: Bob Schoenke +
  While trailing bank robbers Jamie and Ben, the Texas Ranger caught up to them just as Billy the Kid proposed joining them. Ben shot Laredo, then Billy shot Ben. Ben escaped and Billy hauled Laredo to the nearby McAllen ranch.
