It works, except Evie also really falls for Joe. Joe’s unaware that Evie’s the lead exotic dancer because she wears a wig during act, but her rival Kitty exposes her. Joe rejects Evie but his prize pig takes a liking to her so he changes his mind.

  • American tourist Silvia falls in love with Spaniard Juan, then learns he’s a bullfighter who is about to make a comeback after being gored. Silvia turns down his marriage proposal because she dislikes bullfighting and fears for Juan’s safety. However, Silvia goes to the bullring on Sunday to support Juan; he conquers his fears and triumphs. Silvia decides they can “work out” their differences since they have love on their side.
  • Marsha and friends have a beach cottage on Fire Island. Marsha’s steady boyfriend Ron can only visit occasionally, so she’s bored. One day, Marsha overhears a man on the shared party line telephone: he’s raving about her beauty. Marsha fantasizes about her admirer and decides to break up with Ron. However, she discovers the mystery man was talking about another woman (who has the same style bathing suit as Marsha), and that he’s not attractive to her at all. She confesses all to Ron and he laughs it off.
  • Bored secretary Lina meets handsome Ted and decides he is “the perfect man!” She decides to make him love her “because my whole happiness..my life...depends on it!” They date and Ted proposes, but he soon becomes irritated at Lina’s constant solicitude: “Everything must be perfect...like you!” Ted starts dating other women, and Lina is told she “stifled Ted’s love!” Lina pretends to faint to get Ted’s attention, and he realizes he loves Lina. She promises to change.
