  Following a nuclear war that has devastated most of the life on earth, ex-soldier Gardner Grayle finds a town subjugated by an evil Black Baron.  The Baron has stockpiled all of the canned food in a fortress and will only give it to townspeople that work for the benefit of the Baron.  During a confrontation with the baron’s men, Gayle finds the ancient armor in the local museum can shield individuals from harm from the Baron’s radiation weapons.

  Gardner and five companions, calling themselves the atomic knights, attempt to use the six suits of ancient armor to protect the townspeople. They demand that the food stockpile be shared fairly with everyone.
