• 1 Battleground Earth, Chapter 1 Script: Keith Giffen +
  After Superman negotiates a ceasefire with the alien invaders, the heroes gather to discuss their next steps. Captain Atom will lead the superhero forces and Amanda Waller favors adding supervillains to their side. Meanwhile, the aliens' alliance is tenuous at best, with their opposing motives remaining hidden.
• 2 Battleground Earth, Chapter 2 Script: Keith Giffen +
  The ceasefire is over. Superman's team fight Khunds in Australia while Aquaman and his team defend Atlantis against the Gil'Dishpan. The Daxamites, having gained super-powers under Earth's yellow sun, abandon their neutrality and attack Superman. The Thanagarians capture Flash and turn him over to the Dominators for scientific experimentation. The Suicide Squad joins the fight in Australia.
• 3 Battleground Earth, Chapter 3 Script: Keith Giffen +
  A Dominator scientist has discovered the metagene that powers Earth's heroes. In Havana, Manhunter Rudy West sacrifices himself to take out the Durlan base. Another battle rages on the moon as one Daxamite dies sending a message to his homeworld. The interplanetary prisoners held by the Citadel forces stage a revolt planned by Vril Dox.
• 4 Battleground Earth, Chapter 4 Script: Keith Giffen +
  The Daxamites switch sides, joining Earth's heroes against the aliens, which turns the tide against the invading forces. Their surrender is helped along by some last-minute intervention by Deadman.
