  Peter Parker is bitten by a radioactive spider and gains the abilities of a spider. When he fails to stop a burglar who runs past him, his uncle is killed as a result. He therefore swears never to shirk his responsibility again.

  Scientist Bruce Banner saves a young boy from being killed by a nuclear blast but absorbs deadly amounts of gamma radiation which transforms him into a monster dubbed the Hulk. Bruce Banner is scientist by day, but transforms into the Hulk once the sun goes down.
• 3 Return of the Ant-Man Script: Stan Lee +
  Henry Pym, having created the serum to shrink, has become a student of ants. The government hired Henry Pym and his lab to create a gas that serves to immunize people against radiation. The Russians send some spies to seize it, kidnapping the scientists. Henry eludes them by shrinking himself once again. Thanks to the help of the ants, Pym manages to stop the Russian spies and save the scientists. Later he returns to his office to avoid anyone noticing his absence. In this way the Ant-Man acts for the first time as such, without anyone knowing.

  Henry Pym develops capsules that permit him to become giant-size as well as ant-size.
• 5 Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandoes Script: Stan Lee +
  The Commandos are ordered to rescue the Underground leader, captured by the nazis, before he reveals the date of D-Day.
• 6 Iron Man Is Born! Script: Stan Lee +
  Playboy industrialist and weapons designer Tony Stark is injured in Vietnam and captured by communists. While pretending to build a weapon for his captors he builds a suit of battle armor to keep his injured heart beating and uses it to escape and beat the communist commander.
• 7 How Iron Man Created His New Thinner Uniform! Script: Stan Lee +
• 8 The Stone Men from Saturn! Script: Stan Lee +
  A lame doctor vacationing in Norway runs across an alien invasion. While hiding from the aliens in a cave he finds an old cane that transforms him into the god Thor. Thor drives back the alien invasion.
