  Air Force officer Joe is assigned to remote Rock Island and his new wife Ann comes along. While Joe is away, Ann is romanced by another officer, Hank. However, Hank is honourable and doesn’t attempt to betray his best friend. Ann is happy when Joe returns, and the arrival of a new baby helps keep her from getting too bored.

  Joan is hired as a private nurse for elderly, ill-tempered Mrs. Cole. She eventually wins her patient’s trust but when she falls in love with her patient’s son Tom, Mrs. Cole thinks she is a gold-digger. Joan goes away, but Mrs. Cole reconsiders and calls her back to the house so Joan can be reunited with Tom.
