  During a US Navy ship missile test, the missiles suddenly change course and fire deep into ocean and strike Atlantis. When Boston and Metropolis are suddenly flooded by massive tidal waves, Aquaman recognizes this is the beginning of an Atlantean attack.

  Upon hearing of the turmoil in Atlantis, Ocean Master visits Mera to let her know of his intent to return to Atlantis and reclaim the crown. When Mera informs Orm that she is now the queen, a confrontation ensues.

  King Shark attacks the team and they realize that he's behind the disappearance of reporter Bonnie Chung. Later, Jackson Hyde arrives but Robin refuses to consider letting him join the Titans. When the heroes track King Shark to Alcatraz Island, Hyde follows them and tries to help, which causes Robin to change his mind. King Shark meets up with his allies, Black Jack and Black Manta.
