Synopsis: A prison commandant learns through an informant that prisoners are escaping by being placed in coffins with the dead and later dug up. In order to get the names of the underground railroad, the commandant has his informant buried alive and promises that he will dig him up. After waiting in the coffin for some time, the informant strikes a match and screams in horror to see that the commandant is sharing the coffin with him. He realizes that the commandant must have been poisoned by a spy.
