• 1 The Phantom Superboy Script: Robert Bernstein +
  After Professor Lang finds a box of Kryptonian weapons, Superboy is accidentally projected into the Phantom Zone, the place where Kryptonian criminals were exiled. But using mental telepathy he activates an electric typewriter and tells Pa Kent how to free him.
• 2 The Great Phantom Peril Script: Cary Bates +
  With everyone in Metropolis stuck in the Phantom Zone, Superman battles the Phantom Zone villains by infiltrating them. Then he has to survive a beating from them long enough for everyone to switch places.
• 3 Escape from the Phantom Zone Script: Cary Bates +
  The Vrangs locate the ruins of Argo City and learn that two Kryptonians still exist. The Phantom Zone villains find another bit of Jewel Kryptonite and use it to escape the Phantom Zone. Later, Lois and Clark separately investigate a self-defense class and a street patrol gang that has gotten some hi-tech help.
• 4 Superman Meets the Zod Squad Script: Cary Bates +
  Lois confronts Faora Hu-ul. The other Phantom Zone villains reveal themselves. Turns out the Phantom Zoners freed themselves so that they could help stop the Vrangs who arrived on Earth and attack. The Zoners help Superman, but then try to kill him. Superman manages to get the Phantom Zoners back in the Zone and escape it himself.
• 5 Phantom Zone: The Final Chapter Script: Steve Gerber +
• 6 The Criminals of Krypton Script: Geoff Johns +
  Zod, Non, and Ursa are being sentenced to the Phantom Zone by the Kryptonian Council. Flashback to an earlier time. Non, Jor-El's former teacher, is reviewing his findings about the planet's internal activities, and agrees that Krypton will explode within 90 days. But the General Zod, head of the Military Defense, interrupts and has them arrested (by Ursa). Non and Jor-El are warned not to discuss the heresy, and released. Jor-El starts working on a rocketship, but Non appeals to the people of Krypton instead, with Zod and Ursa observing. Zod starts to believe what Non is saying. But Non gets abducted, and lobotomized. Zod is outraged, and goes to Jor-El to have him join them in revolt. Jor-El cannot, as the council is needed to take quick action. Zod, Ursa, and Non try to take control anyway, but are defeated. Jor-El is made to be their jailer, and now is forced to exile them to the Phantom Zone.
