• 1 Part One Script: Neal Adams +
  While Superman is in the Middle East rescuing a boy named Rafi, three heroes wearing Superman costumes repel an invasion of parademons and their leader Kalibak.
• 2 Part Two Script: Neal Adams +
  Another attack by Kalibak, this time accompanied by Steppenwolf, brings Superman face-to-face with the "Supermen," who are actually Kandorians. After the fight, while having their wounds treated, Superman realizes Luthor is collecting their Kryptonian blood and also that the Apokoliptian attack was actually a diversion for stealing a red sun mote from Luthor. But before Superman can respond to that information, Kalibak crashes through on his way home to Apokolips, with a hostage in tow.
• 3 Part Three Script: Neal Adams +
  The Kandorians reveal the real reason for their trip: half of New Krypton has been claimed as New Apokolips. So Superman, accompanied by Lois Lane, heads to New Krypton. Once there, parademons attack, but Superman traces them back to their master Kalibak in search of Rafi and is joined in the fight by Orion.
• 4 Part Four Script: Neal Adams +
  After helping Superman put down Kalibak, Orion explains that Darkseid acquired the red sun mote to weaken the Kryptonians so he can enslave them. After Superman disrupts the delivery of the mote into the sun, he heads to New Apokolips in search of Rafi.
• 5 Part Five Script: Neal Adams +
  Superman recovers Rafi from Granny Goodness with the help of Lois, Mister Miracle and Big Barda. Then the hero heads off to confront the real villains, but arrives just as Luthor irritates Darkseid enough that the dark god apparently incinerates the businessman.
• 6 Part Six Script: Neal Adams +
  Darkseid and Luthor's alliance destroyed, Superman returns to Rafi, Lois and Orion. He is followed by Darkseid, who surprisingly defers to the being now revealed to be called El. Darkseid retreats to use the Boom Tube to attack New Krypton and claim it for New Apokolips, but with the help of the three Supermen, Orion and Izaya (who had been in the form of Rafi's dog Isa and whom Rafi calls his grandfather), Superman sends Darkseid back to New Apokolips and pulls the Boom Tube inside-out so that New Genesis, New Krypton and New Apokolips can all share a divided planet.
