  Monarch collects superheroes from various universes and pits dopplegangers against each other to find the strongest heroes for his army. After Nightshade, Eve of Shadows, and the Shade and the three Batmen face off, Superman from the Dark Knight universe urges the heroes to mount an offensive against Monarch.
• 2 Script: Keith Champagne +
  While the Superman from Earth-31 rallies the heroes to fight Monarch's plans, and the Blue Beetle from Earth-33 works on a device to defeat Monarch, the villain continues to pit trios of heroes against each other. After returning the surviving Batmen to the Bleed, Monarch sets the Ray Palmer Ray, Apollo, and the Ray of Earth-10 against each other, then the Blue Beetles and Scarab, and finally the Green Lanterns. But back in the Bleed, Monarch's men face an unexpected threat.
• 3 Script: Keith Champagne +
  In the Bleed, the heroes give the Blue Beetle of Earth-33's harness to Breach to round up help, while Monarch pits first the star-heroes against each other, then the speedsters, then the Wonder Women.
• 4 All Fall Down Script: Keith Champagne +
  Monarch finally pits the Supermen against each other. Meanwhile, in the Bleed, Captain Atom (from Earth-38), Quantum-Storm, and Batman (from JSA: The Liberty File) fight Monarch, who reveals that the Blue Beetle (from Earth-33) and Breach were working with him. Back in the Arena, the Supermen channel as much energy into Christopher Kent as they can, but Monarch shakes off his assault. Then, Breach arrives with the "Captain Atom Brigade," but Monarch defeats all of them and absorbs their power. Fully powered, Monarch heads out with his winning warriors to confront the Monitors.
