  Playboy Weston is convicted and executed for a murder he didn't commit. The district attorney Dexter knew of his innocence, but used the case to become governor. Months later Dexter is poetically killed by a falling statue of justice and has to appear before a jury of ghosts. Dexter is sentenced to clear Weston's name - and does so.
• 2 True Tales of the Supernatural #7 Pencils: Paul Gattuso +
  "Over a century has passed since old Andrew McCullough and his dog, Satan, used to stride down the hillside..." When watchdog Satan dies, it is buried with precious gifts. Two graverobbers meet a grisly end, trying to retrieve the treasures.

  Knife-throwing artist Zander is executed and swears revenge upon his judges. At the same time, a concert pianist loses his hands in a train crash and gets Zander's hands transplanted. The hands command him to kill, kill, kill. So it happens.

  "Do the dead hold powers over the living? Some claim they do!" Mr. Bentley wants to be buried near the cliff at his home. When he is given a burial at sea, his corpse mysteriously floats 2.000 miles back home.
• 5 Cult of the Undead Pencils: Jim McLaughlin +
  A gangster has set up an empire in the Peruvian andes, controlling Inca zombies. When Pat Knowlton comes to visit with her fiancé Gordon, they can thwart the gangster's evil plans.
• 6 The Living Brain +
  Sadistic Dr. Kraus is testing an apparatus to melt human flesh and bones. A wild fight ensues in the laboratory.
• 7 It happened on Valentine's Eve Pencils: Charles Nicholas +
  Lost in the Florida swamps, a young couple drives up to an old colonial mansion where a masquerade seems to take place. It is in reality a reenacment of an old family tragedy, staged by ghosts. The couple escapes from the burning house and stands there, pondering.
