However, the fragment is woven into the Shroud of Cleito, Atlantis’s most holy artifact, and Namor refuses to desecrate it for any reason. This forces Man-Thing to challenge the city’s guardian, Evenor, who retaliates by changing the swamp creature back into Ted Sallis.
