  When a gaseous alien sees a scarecrow, it mistakes it for an example of Earth's dominant life form, and tries to possess it. A tramp sees the scarecrow moving and drops his cigarette in the hay from shock. The fire burns up the scarecrow and the alien leaves Earth, removing the threat.

  A man perpetrates a hoax about a flying saucer landing and him being contacted by the aliens. His hoax is uncovered, and when Martians do land and give him the secrets of prosperity, he attempts to share this information and is not believed.

  A timid man tries to hypnotize himself into being bold but fails.
• 4 The Betrayer! Script: Carl Wessler +
  A man travels into the past and gains a great deal of wealth through war profiteering, but when he returns to the present, he realizes all his money is in confederate dollars.

  When his elevator cable breaks, on man finds himself on the 13th floor in another dimension.

  People of the year 2160 kidnap great scientists of the present day in order to help with their stagnant culture. The last recruit convinces them to let the men return and contribute their knowledge to the present day.
