  When a film crew shooting in the jungle tosses a witch doctor out of the camp as superstitious mumbo-jumbo, the witch doctor disguises himself as a European doctor in order to teach them respect for his abilities.

  The mob thinks that a woman's gorilla exhibit is the perfect place to hide their boss until the heat's off. They are surprised to discover, however, that the animals are not stuffed merely flash frozen. When she raises the temperature, the animals distract the men long enough for her to freeze them until the police arrive.

  A man helps seamen locate sunken ships, but when he is exploited for material gain, he reveals himself to be from beneath the waves and vows to have nothing to do with surface-dwellers again.
• 7 The Sinking Man! Pencils: Chuck Miller +
  A future man travels into the past to rule but finds himself sinking into a pit of swamp quicksand. He sees a couple of hunters and tries to control their minds through telepathic communication, but their minds are too primitive. He cannot shout out to them, as their telepathy rendered their vocal chords inert over a thousand years ago. Despairing, he reverses the time direction and deposits himself into the hands of the authorities.
