  BEM, having taken over Paulo's body, is in San Sassafras where he decides to take part in the town's festivities, getting very drunk. Leonore mourns what she thinks is the death of Babe. Castle Radium continues his relentless quest to track down BEM as he goes all over the world, almost reaching his goal.

  Maggie and Hopey take Joey to Izzy's place to borrow some occult books from her. But Izzy's eccentric monologue about her bookshelf causes Maggie to scream at her. With a flashback to a few years earlier when Maggie first met Hopey.

  The hammer-wielding Luba takes on the drunken BEM in a dark cul-de-sac with Leonore right nearby. Shortly after, Castle Radium arrives, resulting in a furious final battle with an unexpected closing twist.
